Burning Man began decades ago on a beach in San Francisco as an idea; a chance at finding a new expression of a creative experience. Over time, it became a way of life, an identity and a community. And every community has a place where one can commune with the deepest parts of ourselves.
The Temple at Burning Man gives us a chance to grieve, heal and transmute our energy. Since its inception, our community now cannot imagine Burning Man without it. But it takes great effort to bring the temple to our beloved community. It takes resources, volunteers and sheer resilience to bring the temple to Black Rock City.
